Cameron McKenzie discussed his career as financial advisor for mergers and acquisitions, his civic roles as past president of the PR Chamber of Commerce and newly elected director of the International Chamber of Commerce headquartered in Paris, Francie, and his new designation as honorary consul for Japan. In the latter two roles he is the youngest to have been named. He attributes these accomplishments to hard work and a lot of luck. He also commented on Puerto Rico’s economy on which he is bullish for the next 5 to 7 years despite challenges in the energy and UPR areas. Maria de los Angeles Rivera announced the citations given to our Club by Rotary International for our accomplishments during fiscal year 2022-23. Jorge Gonzalez explained the September 14-17 event at Plaza del Caribe in Ponce for which we need volunteers to man the table for three to four hours on of the days, and the September 21 day of peace activity asking everyone to dress in white, observe a minute of silence at noon, and reduce violence as part of the Proyecto Rotario PRoPaz that he described.
