-LAST WEEK-

Guest Speaker, GRAHAM CASTILLO, lawyer and economist and President of Estudios Tecnicos, the firm that provides support to companies preparing business plans and marketing strategies, has been active in the real estate economics since 1989.  His presentation gave us an insight on the state of Puerto Rico's reconstruction and its future economic possibilities.  Five of the presentation plans consisted of:  Federal Funds, Recent Indicators, Outlook, Risks & Final Remarks.  He explained the federal funding process from appropriation to disbursement. Projected private and public disaster relief funding as stated by the FOMB for fiscal years 2018-2024 appeared to be optimistic.  Our speaker went on to show the disaster and HUD proposed funding.  The over-all projection leans to the positive.  There are certain risks which he covered in his final remarks.  We thank Board Secretary and Speaker Committee member, Carmen Hammel, for this timely and most informative program.
