Dear fellow Rotarians,
Next Tuesday is Tinto y Blanco day! June is Fellowship month in our Rotary calendar come and enjoy each others company, network and bring a possible new member. As we wind down this Rotary year, let’s plan for the year that begins July 1st. Think about possible speakers and service projects that you would like to be involved in. Enjoy!
Yours in Rotary,
Juanita

President Delia Colorado Message
Hola.

Hope you are well, enjoying your summer, especially those that are travelling.  This past Tuesday June 4th, we had the induction of four new members: Enid Reyes, Emma Gonzalez, Veronica Montalvo, and Miguel Rodriguez Fernandez.  Welcome, new members!  Annie Evans and Laura Dong were going to be inducted, too, but they are traveling, so it will be next time. We had a guest, Francisco de Jesus Ruiz, who was invited by Miguel Rodriguez.
Maria Rivera, our past president, was the speaker of the day.  She talked about EmpowerArt Coach, which involves helping women find their specific personal or professional goals by using art.  Maria, who has made incursions into the arts, will be an Art Coach now that she has retired.  The absolute best to you, Maria, in your new endeavors in life.
I took the opportunity to remind the members of my petition for the scholarship fund.  Up to now we have raised $850, and the Santurce Club, which as you know is partnering with us in this effort, has already raised almost $3,000.  Please contribute to the fund, preferably with a check to avoid credit card charges.  June is our deadline for this fund-raising event, because as you know classes start soon in August and we should be distributing whatever we collect before that time. Please be generous, we need to help students achieve their goals.
You can bring the check for the scholarship fund to Tinto y Blanco where we will be meeting next Tuesday. We will also meet presential on June 18, for our recognition and awards lunch, and later, on June 25 for our change of command to the new President, Jorge Gonzalez.  We expect the visit of the new Governor, Marco Belen, for the swearing-in of the Board of Directors.  Please make plans to attend both activities, you are an especially important part of our Club.
Hope to see you in Tinto y Blanco, take care.
Delia
