Belated HAPPY VALENTINE’S Day. This year the day coincided with Ash Wednesday, so I for my part celebrated Valentine's Day in Tinto y Blanco the previous evening, with the nice group of fellow Rotarians that were there. Then on Wednesday we went to church. Hope you all had a happy dual celebration.
On Tuesday afternoon, before going to Tinto y Blanco, we went to an activity at Sagrado Corazon University entitled Conversatorio de Civismo Empresarial sponsored by the Foundation of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. The discussion of the theme, entrepreneurial civic responsibility, was very well developed by the panelists. This is a topic that should be discussed in classrooms and newspapers constantly, of which we have too little of. Our Club was represented by President Elect Jorge Gonzalez, Juanita Morris, Tito, and me.
A FEW REMINDERS:
DISTRICT CONFERENCE: JUNE 28, 29 & 30 IN GUAYANILLA, COSTA BAHIA HOTEL. There are only 30 rooms available with special rates for those that sign up early. Tito and I already registered and am looking forward to a weekend full of Rotarian spirit, good friends and a rested hotel stay. The cost of registration for all activities is $490 per couple, and the special room rate is $179.82 per night.
