Dear Rotarians,
The time has come to recognize all members who have given their time and leadership to manage club business making all activities look seamless for all to enjoy. Let’s come together on Tuesday, May 18, 2024, and thank them for a job well done.
Hope you are well. As you know, I have requested your DONATION TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND. Please send your check payable to the San Juan Rotary Club, to PO Box 192772 San Juan, PR 00919-2772 or text me 787-649-9425 if you want us to put your donation in your next invoice. I appeal to your generosity and desire to serve our community, which is the principal purpose of Rotary. Please do this now, before you forget, because we have to close this fund by the middle of June so that we can send the checks before the classes start in August. Thanks to those that have already contributed.
Last Tuesday we met in Tinto y Blanco, as we do on second Tuesdays. During June, a lot of members are travelling, so only a few of us were free to go that evening. But as usual, we had an enjoyable conversation and tasted good wine and food.
Next Tuesday June 18 is the awards luncheon, where we will recognize those members that have devoted their time to the Club during the year. There will not be a speaker, as is true also at our last meeting of the year on June 25. At that meeting, the Governor for 2024-2025, Marco Belen, will be with us to take the oath of office to the new Board of Directors.
