Outgoing President Jorge Gonzalez gave an overview of projects and accomplishments of the Rotary Year including a successful Chili Cook Off fundraiser, membership stabilization, and the Wellesley-San Juan Rotary Youth Wellness Project, among others. After honoring outstanding Rotarians, Jorge passed the gavel to Incoming 2015-2016 President Raymond Erb. The membership gave a hearty thanks to Jorge.
As his Rotary presidency drew to a close, our out-going leader took the opportunity to thank all those who contributed to the successful and fruitful Rotary year, especially the 2014-15 Board of Directors. He also gave certificates of a number of members whose efforts and support of the Club were significant, including Hector Gaitan, John Ferrandino, Frank Earle, Sol Bravman, Bucky Tervo, Louis Petit and Gerry Cumpiano
NOT ONE BUT TWO COVETED "ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR" awards were given to DAVID HAAS for his dedication to The Rotary Foundation; and CARMEN HAMMEL (in absentia) for her superb efforts as Speaker's Committee Chair.
PP Juanita Morris receives San Juan Rotary's check to benefit the YWCA. The donation was raised as part of this year's successful Chili Cook Off fundraiser.
