On last Tuesday's meeting, we had a visit from Luz Miriam Ortiz, who as you may know, is the Nominee for District 7000 Governor for the years 2025-2026. Also, Luz Miriam is this year's Director of Membership for the District. Therefore, she has been visiting all the clubs to encourage and reinforce us in our efforts to increase our membership. Luz Miriam was accompanied by her husband, past Governor Paul Roman. It was a privilege to have the visit from this very dynamic and enthusiastic couple, a great example of what couples can do for Rotary and for themselves by working together. Of course, Luz recommended that we make a membership plan, so now it is in our hands to continue spreading the word, invite our spouses, partners, and friends to visit us and get interested in becoming members.
At the meeting, I informed that we had collected $1,000 to sponsor students in RYLA -each cost $250.00- and Ray Erbe said he will match funds donated up to $2,000.00. Up to now, we have had donations of $1,000.00, so if you want to donate, please send me an email at deliacolorado@hotmail.com and we will bill you in your next invoice. Thanks, Ray, for your generous offer.

I hope to see you next Tuesday when Kim Casiano will be our speaker. She will share with us her experiences as a member of the Board of Directors at Ford Motor Company and other very unique and interesting life experiences.
