San Juan Rotary's annual Change of Command program when Outgoing President, Gerry Cumpiano, turned the gavel of office over to Incoming President, Franklin Earle. The Oath of Office was administered By District Governor Mercedes Peguero Moronta to both Incoming President Franklin Earle and the 2020-2021 Board of Directors. Assistant Governor for our Area One, Ivette Martin Colon, also joined us for this important event. 2020-2021 President Frank Earle gave his acceptance talk by thanking President Gerry Cumpiano for his leadership, especially in the time of Covid-19 where we went from a lunch to a digital platform in a seamless manner without missing a date! We learned that Frank was born in England but grew up and was educated in Canada. In 2004, he retired as President of the Canada Latin America Region of Philip Morris. President Frank, a great admirer of the goals of Rotary International, views increasing membership as a major goal of our Club and District and is open to all the help and advice we members can give to achieve success in this important endeavor. His vision is for The Rotary Club of San Juan to rise to the moment and become the fastest growing club in District 7000 in membership. We will also continue to be a generous giving club with many programs in favor of the community, great fellowship and wonderful speakers. |
