Dear Rotarians,
Next week we will celebrate Labor Day and members are on vacation, so, there will be no meeting. We will meet again September 10, 2024, for fellowship at Michelle’s residence and business at 6:00 PM. We will provide more details in next week’s Garita. We wish you all a great relaxing week and hope to see you at our next fellowship meeting which promises to be a lot of fun.
Dear Rotarians, Our member, Felix Rivera, shed light on the complexities and misconceptions about hurricanes from his perspective as a structural engineer and an expert in handling natural disasters. His presentation also served as an excellent chance to learn more about Felix, who leads our Service Committee and shared his journey through different phases of his career, culminating in his current role as a seminar leader for fellow engineers. It's imperative that we all inspect our homes, buildings, and apartments, and fortunately, we have an in-house expert to guide us and extend assistance to others. Paul Harris' founding vision for Rotary was to forge a diverse community for camaraderie and mutual support. Jorge
