The producers of TEATRO POR AMOR, being presented Tuesday, May 7, at 6:30 pm, in the Centro de Bellas Artes in Santurce, want to reserve a special space for Rotarians. They need to know who is planning on attending the event, sponsored by San Juan Rotary and winner of a Rotary International Global Grant. Please respond if you plan to attend and include your spouse and/or guests. The producers need a head count.
Were DR. JOSEPH ROBINSON, CALVIN YOUNG & BOBBY MARKOVSKI, of the PPRE Forevergreen of Charlotte, NC., Inc. They have been visiting government agencies and business entities with the purpose of bringing industry to Puerto Rico. .
Guest Speaker, GREGORIO IGARTUA, one of the most esteemed legal icons regarding Puerto Rico law and politics, gave a detailed account of the United States and Puerto Rico's association from it's beginning in 1898. Although there were many familiar facts, he brought up little known events that have shaped our relationship with the mainland. Attorney Igartua stated that we should make it clear to Congress that Puerto Rico is an incorporated territory, according to the Rules. We thank Ricardo Betancourt and Sherman Wildman for bringing us this most interesting speaker.
