Projects!

The time is coming when club members will submit and pitch community service projects which will be carried out in the coming Rotary year, if they win the votes.

Projects should be hands on whenever possible, so that we can join in and serve our local community.

Do you have an idea for a worthwhile local project? Think about it, get some friends to sign on, and soon the paperwork will be available.

See you soon,

Jennifer

Welcome New Member

Inducted into San Juan Rotary was LANCE BRILLIANTINE (Human Capital Consultant). He was sponsored by Past President Enrique Sigas.
Rotary Tennis Tournament

This past Friday the Rotary Tennis Tournament was held at the Isla Verde Tennis Club.
Five Rotarians and seven friends of the club competed for the Passarell Trophy: Julian Rodriguez, Luis Ramirez, Georgie Hildebrand, Warwick Butler and Jennifer Bates participated.
Kamil Assad, long-time club pro, ran the draw and coordinated the play. Twelve players hit seven rounds on three courts.
The Rotarian who took first place was Jennifer Bates, with Julian Rodriguez in a close second.
REVELRY AT THE OLIVE GARDEN

Twenty-eight members and guests enjoyed the food and fellowship at the Wednesday fundraising dinner at The Olive Garden located in the Convention Center Area. The Club will be receiving 25% of the total receipts to aid in our Community Service Projects.  A very nice gesture, indeed!
LAST WEEK

Joe Cabassa, Regional Brand Ambassador & Educator for The Macallan Company, gave a spirited (no pun intended) talk as he shared his knowledge of distilled spirits, beverages and the art of mixology.  Joe has conducted over 4,000 trainings and tasting events in over 70 cities and 40 countries around the world, from Beijing to Buenos Aires to New York.
Rotarians enjoyed a generous sampling of the Mccallan brand of fine scotch whiskey founded in 1844.  It went very well with the roast turkey lunch prepared by Chef Pedro
