President Kenneth McGrath Message

If you haven’t been able to attend our Tuesday lunch meetings recently I encourage you to do so.  We have lined up some very interesting programs for the next few weeks.  Our invited lunch speakers will be covering some very interesting topics.  We will have representatives from the Army Corp of Engineers this coming week who will be covering the restoration of power throughout the island, followed by Michelle Fraley, our most recent Police Commissioner, and then Retired General Felix Santoni, who is also Civilian Aide Emeritus to the Secretary of the Army for Puerto Rico.  Our club is also working on several relief projects, and this week’s meeting will also include a short presentation by Rotarian Jim McKay, who is a School Superintendent from Northern Illinois, on helping schools and communities in Puerto Rico.  Later this year he will be heading a group of educational leaders assess the longer term technological and infrastructure needs of several schools in Puerto Rico.  Looking forward to seeing you.

LAST WEEK

Rotarians, their spouses and guests enjoyed a delicious Valentine lunch while listening to Marci Franki's piano selections.  There was a sea of red, including a red rose for each of the women. A Happy Valentine celebration indeed.
