We need volunteers to monitor the Rotary booth at Plaza on Wednesday, February 22 between 10 am and 3 pm. Volunteers could be there for two hours at a time. We urgently need to know who is willing to serve. Call Juanita Morris at 787-415-8235.
Isla Verde Group Head, CRAIG GANSLOFF, presented President Elect Ken McGrath with a $1,500 check to purchase 100 tickets for the Chili Cook Off event on Sunday, February 26. Craig is a member of the Rotary Club of Charleston, SC where his wife is serving as president.
Rotarian George McMurray received his Paul Harris Award at Tuesday's luncheon.
Rotarian Jillian Carmichael received her Paul Harris Award on Tuesday from her father-in-law, President Elect Ken McGrath. Held in the arms of her mother, and witness to the event, was Ken's four month old granddaughter,
Sofia Marie.
Vice President, Jose M."Pepito" Rivero received his multi-Paul Harris Pin. Pepito is now the holder of five Paul Harris Awards.
San Juan Rotarians and their spouses and friends enjoyed the dulcet strings of harpist Milton Rodriguez at the annual Valentine Party. Chef Pedro prepared a fine menu accompanied by a glass of wine. Past President Juanita Morris saw that the women had a lovely red rose to mark the occasion.
